  • INEOS Styrolution provides aid to Mission Fulfilled 2030 to fund STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) mentorship and education programs for youth in communities historically underrepresented in STEM fields
  • INEOS Styrolution delivers funds of $6300 to Mission Fulfilled 2030, a nonprofit organization aimed at advancing youth in underfunded and underrepresented communities by providing opportunity-building educational programs. Through education and inspiration, Mission Fulfilled 2030 aims to activate 100,000 black boys from disadvantaged and underserved communities into the high-tech workforce fields of science, technology, engineering, and math by 2030.

“Black men make up less than 5% of the high-tech and STEM workforce. Black males make up less than 2% of the public school workforce,” states, Gerald A. Moore Sr. executive director and engineer, Mission Fulfilled 2030. Mission Fulfilled 2030 has a goal to build a network of 10,000 mentors/coaches of color to change the face of STEM field careers. The organization aims to create pathways of opportunities for black boys to participate in STEM careers, earn higher salaries, and create a more diverse representation in the workforce.

“The Mission Fulfilled 2030 team would like to thank INEOS Styrolution for their generosity and making an investment in the success of our programs. It is important at this time for private corporate entities to support organizations that develop diverse talent,” says, Mr. Moore.

Mr. Moore continues, “There is a visible representation gap in the STEM/STEAM workforce. Mission Fulfilled 2030 can fill the gap by creating programs that will develop untapped diverse talent from underrepresented communities and present a face in the community where our education system falls short. Partnerships with companies like INEOS Styrolution and Mission Fulfilled 2030 are important to the GDP of the country as we are in a deficit of tech/STEM talent, but together, we can create opportunities where everyone wins.”

Gregory Fordyce, president INEOS Styrolution America says, “Supporting underserved communities by deploying tools such as, mentorship and education for the purpose to inspire empowerment and change, is really important work. We are happy to contribute to Mission Fulfilled 2030 and to the positive foundation they create for today’s youth to build successful and fulfilling careers in STEM.”
