  • Andrew Ferguson, Safety, Health, Environment & Quality Manager, INEOS FPS: “INEOS has been a supporter of the Zetland Park Regeneration Project and we are pleased that our donation will improve access and safety around the Park’s pond feature.”

A donation from INEOS FPS, based in Grangemouth, has seen the purchase and installation of ‘grab handles’ around the recently renovated pond feature in the town’s Zetland Park.

The donation from INEOS was made as a consequence of the company’s safety scheme that incentivises excellence in Health and Safety by its contracting partners and which resulted in a pay out at the end of 2022 to a number of employee-nominated environmental projects and good causes.

Andrew Ferguson, Safety, Health, Environment & Quality Manager, INEOS FPS said, “INEOS has been a long-time supporter of the Zetland Park Regeneration Project. We are pleased that our donation will improve access and safety around the Park’s pond feature that is a popular resource for families in our local community. Safety is always paramount for INEOS FPS and its contracting partners, underpinning everything we do and so it is fitting that the donation resulting from the safety performance of our contracting partners will in turn improve safety in the community.”

Councillor Paul Garner, Portfolio Holder for Economic Development, said: “The new pond boardwalk grab handles are a great design addition to the already regenerated Zetland Park pond. We are grateful for the opportunity to work with INEOS FPS and their extra funding which has helped to improve this much loved new amenity.”

The Forties Pipeline System is a 100% INEOS-owned integrated oil and gas liquid transportation and processing system and is the largest pipeline system in the UK North Sea. The Forties Pipeline System is a critical Central North Sea transport infrastructure system and in 2020 transported over 30% of the UK’s total oil production from the UKCS to the mainland.

Alongside the donation for ‘grab handles’ at the Zetland Park pond area, the donation from INEOS FPS is supporting:

  • Soup planters for Inchyra Park
  • Perennial planting at the RAF Cairn on Bo’ness Road
  • Grangemouth Schools Orchard Project

The donation also provided over 250kg of food to be delivered, by colleagues from INEOS FPS’ Dalmeny facility, to the Edinburgh Food Project in time for Christmas 2022.
