Altamira

The Altamira site is located in the south of the state of Tamaulipas, Mexico, near the Gulf of Mexico Coast. It has two facilities: 1) the Altamira production site with three production plants (Copolymers, GPPS and SBC), and 2) the port. The Altamira site started operations in 1994 and sits on a total area of 163 hectares including the production site and the port. Because of the privileged location of the site, it is able to easily serve the USA, Mexico and South American markets.

Products produced at the Altamira site are used in a wide variety of industries, including Healthcare, Packaging, Automotive, Electronics, Household and Construction. Final applications include automotive components and housings for eletronic and household devices.Altamira takes part in the PASST (Programa de Autogestión en Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo), a volunteer program implemented by the Mexico Labor Department (STPS) on safety and health, commits to the principles of Responsabilidad Integral (Responsible Care®) promoted by the National Association of the Chemical Industry (ANIQ). The site has also an environmental management system certified by the PROFEPA (Procuraduría Federal de Protección al Ambiente) as Clean Industry and an ISO 9001 certification.
