WL Plastics Corporation, an INEOS Company, is expanding its manufacturing operations to better serve the Natural Gas Distribution market across the US. Construction is already underway on a new, state of the art medium density polyethylene (MDPE) pipe manufacturing facility in Lubbock, TX. This new facility will incorporate the latest pipe extrusion and packaging technologies, providing the safest, most efficient pipe production in the industry, while delivering the highest quality products WL’s customers have come to know and expect.
This centrally located facility will allow WL to efficiently service Natural Gas Utilities across North America, easing supply chain constraints the industry has experienced over the last 2 years. The new facility will also increase WL’s capacity to serve the Power & Communications market.
Polyethylene pipe is fully fused together, creating a leak-free system, making it the material of choice for Natural Gas Distribution, propane, and liquid petroleum gas systems since the 1960’s.
WL Plastics’ pipe products play a vital role in the United States Infrastructure maintenance and expansion, offering a durable, leak-free, and sustainable pressure pipe system designed to last 100 years in service.
WL currently operates nine manufacturing locations across North America, producing a broad product mix ranging from ½’’ to 54’’ diameter solid wall polyethylene pipe products for Natural Gas Distribution, Potable Water & Wastewater, Geothermal, Power & Communications, Industrial, Mining, and Oil & Gas gathering. The new 140,000 square foot factory will create up to 95 new jobs in the City of Lubbock. The facility is planned to be fully operational in mid-2024.
