Wingles

The Wingles plant was constructed in 1953. It is located in the north of France, 30km from Lille. The Wingles site sits on approximately 34 hectares. The first production lines were installed under MONSANTO, before BP chemical took over the company and extended new lines of production between 1975-1980.

Our main product is polystyrene, which is split into two types, GPPS for transparency, color consistency, easy processing and stiffness, and HIPS for toughness, environmental stress cracking resistance and easy processing. Products from Wingles are mainly used in the Packaging industry. Applications include food packaging and refrigerator liners.The site has a classified high level based on the SEVESO directive, and has been certificated ISO 9001 since 1988 (one of the first European sites for chemistry), ISO 14001 since 1998, and ISO 50001 in 2015.
