Official Opening for INEOS Films in Delaware

"World-wide and close to you," promotes INEOS Films global strategy to serving its customers. This philosophy is supported by INEOS Films existing production plants in Europe and Asia, now extended with its new rigid films production site in Delaware.

Delaware Governor Ruth Ann Minner joined with other public officials this afternoon to cut the ribbon marking the official opening of INEOS Films new production facility. In 2004, the INEOS Group purchased the site and building in Delaware City and established INEOS Films North American headquarters. Plant renovations began in May 2005 and was completed in phases, culminating with the full production of high quality rigid films now underway.

INEOS Films decision to grow in Delaware hinged upon Delaware’s excellent proximity to its target markets and on the keen support of the Delaware Economic Development Office (DEDO). The investment in the new facility was in excess of $30 million, where the number of employees is expected to be over 100.

INEOS Films new factory in Delaware produces rigid films for pharmaceutical blister packaging, credit and contact-less cards, as well as for shrink film applications in the food and beverage industry. Customers are now receiving the same high quality films that INEOS Films has been supplying to the American markets for decades, now from its local Delaware production base.

We are pleased to be able to provide our customers with the quality films and service they have come to expect from INEOS Films,” says INEOS Films Commercial Director Steve Reynolds. “We look forward to exceeding our customers expectations from our state-of-the-art manufacturing site in Delaware.”
