Situated within the integrated INEOS Koeln site in Germany, INEOS Nitriles operates a 350 kte/pa ammonia/ aqueous ammonia facility. Ammonia is an essential raw material for the manufacture of a wide and diverse set of technical applications including intermediates for polymers (acylonitriles, caprolactam, methylmethacrylate), along with fertilisers, water treatment, amines and to support the increasing industrial demands for NOx reduction.
This facility benefits from strong integration into INEOS operated acrylonitrile and nitric acid production. Substantial volumes of nitric acid are used in fertiliser, polyurethane and explosive production.
INEOS Nitriles’ products are supplied to its European customers utilising the benefits of the excellent dedicated site, road, rail and barge loading facilities provided at the INEOS Koeln site.
