Green Lake Works, is a 4000+ acre site located about 20 miles south of Victoria, Texas, and is the largest acrylonitrile plant in the INEOS system. It began in 1981 with the start-up of the original two reactors along with the entire water treatment systems, waste treatment systems, raw material storage, product storage and barge loading and unloading areas.

Acetonitrile Purification was added in 1991, a third reactor added in 1996, a pipeline and Port facility for loading and unloading of ships and a fourth reactor train in 2009. Like its sister plant in Lima, Ohio, Green Lake uses INEOS proprietary, fluid-bed propylene ammoxidation process and high efficiency catalyst to produce Acrylonitrile, Acetonitrile, HCN, and ACH. In addition, Green Lake operates a world-scale terminal at the Port of Point Comfort. Product acrylonitrile is used in ABS plastic, acrylic fibre for carpets and clothing. Product acetonitrile is used in pharmaceutical and solvent applications. Product acetone cyanohydrin is used in Plexiglas applications. Finished products are shipped via rail, truck, barge and pipeline to the Port for ship loading. The majority of the acrylonitrile from Green Lake is sold in the export market. Green Lake is committed to excellent performance in the area of health, safety and the environment and maintains the highest standards for safety and health. The Green Lake plant received the "Best in Texas" award for safety from the Texas Chemical Council (TCC).
