  • Urgent funding by the INEOS Community Fund enables continued operations for critical children’s charity programs in Mexico suffering the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.
  •  As the COVID-19 pandemic rages on, INEOS Styrolution Mexico recognized the need for essential aid funding within their Mexico City community. Working together with the INEOS Community Fund, they were able to provide much-needed grants to Ayuda y Solidaridad con las Niñas de la Calle, and Promocion Y Accion Comunitaria. These child and youth organizations provide vital programs and embrace the wellbeing of vulnerable children within the Mexico City community.

INEOS Styrolution Mexico provided Ayuda y Solidaridad con las Niñas de la Calle with a grant of $6,000 USD through the INEOS Community Fund.

Ayuda y Solidaridad con las Niñas de la Calle, provides compassionate services ensuring the physical, psychological, and social well-being of more than 70 young girls and adolescents. The young women under their care have experienced violence, sexual abuse, abandonment, poverty, unsafe living conditions, or have been orphaned. Their program promotes human rights through education, physical and emotion health, and provides them with the tools they need to ensure their bright future and highest potential.

With this donation from the INEOS Community Fund, we can continue providing a safe place to live to more than 70 girls, especially during this difficult time of the COVID-19 pandemic. This grant will ensure the girls at Ayuda y Solidaridad, a roof over their heads, a safe home, meals, clothing, and continued education, and most importantly, they can live happily in a place where they can dream.”

INEOS Styrolution Mexico issued funds of $6,000 USD to Promocion Y Accion Comunitaria through the INEOS Community Fund.

Promocion Y Accion Comunitaria provides children and youth in vulnerable situations with provisions of food, clothing, shelter, education, medical and mental health services, and important programs to assistance with an improved quality of life.

“I feel so proud to provide this donation of $6,000 USD to Promocion Y Accion Comunitaria on behalf of The INEOS Community Fund. The INEOS Group hopes this grant will ensure the great work done by Promocion Y Accion Comunitaria continues for these deserving children, especially during this difficult time of the COVID-19 Pandemic” comments, Roger Gonzalez, INEOS Styrolution Director, Latin America.

This grant will support resources for the development of essential programs during the pandemic, in addition to allowing for the continuity of services and training workshops for the children and teenagers of Promocion Y Accion Comunitaria.

The £1m INEOS Community Fund was established by INEOS Chairman Sir Jim Ratcliffe in March 2020 in tandem with the company’s Covid-19 “Hands On” campaign, which set up new production lines to provide millions of bottles of free hand sanitizer per month to hospitals and frontline healthcare. The fund enables INEOS sites across the world to support the charitable organizations doing vital work in their local communities at this particularly difficult time.
