INEOS Aromatics colleagues donate to help starving children

In February, INEOS Aromatics colleagues and their families joined the Naperville community at the nearby North Central College to pack meals for children around the world.

During the twelfth annual ‘Feed the Need!’ Event, Naperville worked together to turn hunger into hope, with 25 colleagues from our business joining 6,000 volunteers who donated and packed a staggering 1.3 million meals in just two days.

Food contributions were donated by INEOS Aromatics via the INEOS Tour De France Challenge team (CyclOps), a global team of cyclists representing all its Operations sites. As the name suggests, the aim of the challenge is to complete all 21 stages of the Tour de France in teams of 8 to 25, cycling the total distance of each stage, on the day it takes place. The teams earn a £1,000 charity donation for successfully completing the challenge.

The CyclOps team chose to donate their £1,000 to the Feed My Starving Children charity, which packs and ships nutritious meals around the world to prevent malnutrition and starvation, funding close to five thousand meals.

The INEOS Tour De France Challenge is organized by the INEOS Energy Station, which promotes an active and healthy lifestyle among INEOS employees and their families – find out more.
