INEOS is extremely honored to have hosted a visit of the delegation on Monday in the presence of Minister President Jan Jambon. In Rafnes, located on the west side of the Frierjord, INEOS operates one of the most efficient steam crackers in Europe as well as a VCM, Chlor and PVC plant. During the boat tour in Grenland, the biggest industrial region in Norway, site managers Jan De Belder and David Verdu discussed the joint plan to carbon neutrality, based on energy efficiency improvements, electrification, hydrogen fueling and carbon capture.

Norway is the ideal hub for pilot-projects which require renewable energy as green (hydro)power is abundantly available. During the mission INEOS made a plea to the Belgian authorities to enhance access to renewable energy and low carbon hydrogen to enable the adoption of such projects in our country too.
