As part of its ongoing commitment to sustainable development, INOVYN is pleased to announce it has been accepted by the Board of The Roundtable on Sustainable Biomaterials (RSB) as a full Member.
RSB Members are part of a worldwide movement of businesses, NGOs, academics, governments and UN organisations that demonstrate their commitment to best practice for sustainable biomaterial, biofuels and biomass production.
INOVYN’s appointment to full Member status follows the launch of BIOVYNTM, its world-first bio-sourced PVC range, which received full RSB product certification in October 2019. BIOVYNTM is acknowledged by RSB for its “excellent sustainability credentials” and as “a new product that is a true leader in the emerging circular bio-economy.”
The appointment also coincides with full Member status being awarded to INOVYN’s sister companies, INEOS Olefins & Polymers Europe and INEOS Styrolution.
Comments Filipe Constant, Business Director INOVYN: “This is an important next step for INOVYN and reaffirms our position as a leader in the development of a fully circular economy for PVC. As a Member of RSB we look forward to working alongside other thought leaders to develop innovative solutions that address society’s needs.”
Comments Rolf Hogan, Executive Director RSB: “I am really pleased to be able to welcome INOVYN, along with its sister companies INEOS Olefins & Polymers Europe and INEOS Styrolution, to the RSB family. These companies have shown remarkable commitment in joining industry leaders from multiple sectors and global NGOs to embed robust sustainability principles in the circular and bio-based economy.
“They have also been the first to achieve RSB certification in the chemicals and polymers sector and as RSB members will now support the ongoing development and promotion of RSB’s standards. We look forward to their insights and practical experience adding value to our whole community.”
