INEOS Shale has completed its second public consultation in the East Midlands. Over 100 visitors attended last week’s exhibition at Marsh Lane to discuss INEOS’ next steps for the proposed exploration well site.
The consultation provided an opportunity for INEOS to update local residents about the detail of its project to drill a vertical coring exploration well at a site near the village of Marsh Lane, including their plans to submit a planning application in May. The participants that attended were very interested - putting forward their questions and listening carefully and thoughtfully to INEOS’ responses.
Tom Pickering INEOS Shale Operations Director says: “We appreciate local residents taking their time to come to our meetings and being open to listen to our plans. As our planning application moves forward we look forward to continuing the conversation with the local community.”
