Bridge Communities has received £25,000 ($32,000) from the INEOS Community Fund to assist their vital work. This is one of several £25,000 allotments made by the INEOS Community Fund to commemorate the 25th anniversary of INEOS, which was founded in 1998.
Bridge Communities helps families facing homelessness transition to self-sufficiency and stable housing by working with partners to provide mentoring, housing, and supportive services. Their vision is a community where all families are healthy, financially stable, and living in affordable housing.
The donation will help to fund a two-year program that provides families with the tools and resources to save money, learn budgeting skills, heal from the traumas of homelessness and secure better employment.
The charity was nominated by members of the INEOS Aromatics team in Naperville, Illinois. The site is the headquarters and main R&D centre for the global business, which produces raw materials the polyester industry uses to make thousands of essential items found in homes and businesses.
The £1M INEOS Community Fund was established in March 2020 to support the local communities around the company’s 194 sites, initially to help people deal with and recover from the social challenges caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The fund, which operates annually, delivered 159 lifeline grants through 2020, and has run each year since, now continuing to support local communities in 2023 and beyond.
The charitable Community Fund is available for use by all INEOS sites – both on a national and international scale – to support important causes in their communities, as well as exceptional individuals and boarder areas aligned with INEOS’ business and sports teams.
